Marguerite was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several capacities including Primary, the Mutual Improvement Association (now Young Women) and Relief Society. His father, Keith Hatch Parke, owned a sporting goods store and his mother, Sarah Kathryn McCarty Parke, was a school secretary.
